Fire at Trinity - April 15, 2023

Structure Fire

Jefferson City, Mo.

At 00:40 hours on 04/015/2023, the Jefferson City Fire Department responded to 812 Stadium Blvd. for a reported Fire Alarm at Trinity Lutheran School. Fire personnel arrived to find heavy smoke inside the structure. The incident was upgraded to a Structure Fire and additional units were dispatched. The fire was located in a classroom and quickly brought under control. The building sustained heavy fire damage in the room of origin with smoke damage extending to three levels of the structure.

The building was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshall at the time of this release.

Three Engine Companies, two Ladder Companies, one Squad Company, two Chief Officers, and the Department Chaplain responded to the incident. They were assisted by two Cole County Fire Companies and three Cole County EMS personnel for a total of 29 personnel on scene.
